Deciding to Buy: Deciding your "why" is a key first step to the process which will help determine your criteria for a home. Maybe your income has changed, your family has grown, you're relocating, and so forth.  It's important to reflect on why and if you're really ready to buy.
 

Preparing to Buy: Make sure your finances and credit are in order. Then, get a pre-approval from a lender. A pre-approval letter is necessary when making an offer on a property, unless you're paying all cash.  Also, getting pre-approved will save you (and your realtor) from wasting time on properties that are not in your price range.
 

Choosing a Realtor: Look no further, I'm here! Buying a property requires many important financial decisions, understanding complex issues, and completing a lot of paperwork. It helps to have an expert in your corner when undertaking such a large purchase.
 

Time to Shop: Take a drive through neighborhoods you're interested in, have your realtor set you up on a listing search, and check websites like Zillow and Trulia to see what's current and new on the market.
 

Make an Offer: Once you find your dream home, your realtor will draft an offer that includes your offer price, terms of purchase, and your pre-approval letter.
 

The Escrow Process: When your offer is selected by the seller, it's time to open escrow.  Escrow is typically a 30 to 45-day process of appraisals, inspections, clearing title, and finalizing the transfer of deed and funds before the property can be officially yours.
 

Moving In: Once all terms are agreed upon, all paperwork is signed, and your funds are transferred, it’s time to close escrow and get your keys!

Do you want to relocate to a different area or state due to a job opportunity? Be clear about your intentions for selling to easily determine the most appropriate option for your specified financial, lifestyle, and real estate goals.

Determine a Listing Price: Once you've hired a realtor, they will run comps in your area and assess market value to determine the best listing price for your property.  I'm here to ensure you get the most profit from your sale, and I will also make sure that your house does not on the market for months because of incorrect pricing.

 

Prepare to Sell: Start packing, clear away the clutter, and make any necessary home improvements to make your home appealing to buyers.  Curb appeal and cleanliness matter!

 

Accepting an Offer: Once your property is listed, your agent will show the home to prospective buyers.  If your home is priced correctly, the offers will come in.  When offers come in, it’s then time for you and your realtor to review those offers and accept or counter until you receive the most appealing offer.
